In an effort to combat malnutrition and obesity in families, APAD in Africa recently donated 65 chickens to the Kigarama sector of Nyankurazo cell in Kirehe district. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with VJN, YWCA Rwanda, Peace Media Empire and Yego Center Kirehe. APAD in Africa is a YALI RLC EA Alumni led organization  founded by MUSABYIMANA Amos, Cohort 51.

The objective of the event was to “develop and seek results,” and representatives from the various partner organizations, as well as local leaders, were in attendance. The event also featured traditional dances, songs, and poetry.

This donation is a step towards addressing the issue of malnutrition and obesity in families in the Kirehe district and serves as an example of how collaboration between various organizations can make a positive impact in the community.
